How to Lose Belly Fat for Women who Want a Sexier Body

Belly fat can originate from various causes. Between men and women, most of the causes are basically the same. It also poses the same health risks to both men and women. However, studies show that women are more conscious of how unattractive and unsightly their bellies are with all that fat. In fact, having a bulging belly is one of the leading reasons why women become depressed, self conscious and detached from their social lives. If you want to bring back your sexy body or to wear your two-piece bikini again, you need to focus on how to lose belly fat. For women, this could mean a very important step to finding their social lives once again.

Before searching for ways to get rid of belly fat, women should also take a look at the main causes of these unwanted fats in their bellies. One of the causes is imbalanced hormones. We all know that hormonal changes and imbalances are more common in women. The main hormone responsible for belly fat is cortisol. It is actually a fat storer. High amounts of insulin is another fat-storing hormone. When there are high levels of insulin in the body, it turns of glucagon, the fat-burning hormone – resulting to more belly fat.


Another main cause of belly fat in women is too much or too little calories in their diet. High amounts of calories would mean weight gain. If you eat fewer calories, there is a tendency to consume too little. Also, if you consume the right amounts depending on your body type and age, this too can add to belly fat.

Metabolism is another factor to consider in terms of having belly fat. The concept is easy: a higher metabolism would mean the easier burning of fat and calories. However, since the metabolism slows down as you age; women tend to produce more fat tissues, especially during the menopausal stage. Another possible reason is because their bodies and metabolism are greatly affected by sudden changes or disruptions in their hormonal levels which is common during their period or during pregnancy.

Given these causes of belly fat for women, the good news is – there are several ways on how to lose belly fat. For women who are desperate to have a flat tummy, you can consider the following:

• Have an exercise plan. This can be as simple as brisk walking exercises and sitting exercises or squats.
• Formulate a good diet plan. This may include employing fat burning foods like oats, nuts, veggies and eggs among others.
• Pilates or yoga. Doing these won't only relax the body; they also help in getting rid of belly fat. Weight lifting is yet another option.

These are just a few methods on how to lose belly fat. For women, they understand the fact that they are just as prone to belly fat as men. Though getting rid of your bulging bellies is not that easy, a good diet and the right exercise should help you achieve positive or even long lasting results.
