Here's a few tips to kick start your Summer fitness regime:
1. Do some strength training to tone your muscles and speed up your metabolism. You don't need to join a gym, simple bodyweight exercises are enough. Try squats, lunges, push ups and sit ups to tone your arms, tummy and thighs.
2. As the weather improves, get outside and burn some calories. Set yourself a goal of getting at least 45 minutes of exercise three times a week. It doesn't have to be intense, just fast walking is fine to start off with.
3. Get yourself some new training shoes to exercise in. Kicking off your spring shape up in your daggy old runners is a recipe for injury. If you know what size you are just buy them online for half the price, we use wiggle.co.uk and eastbay.com.
4. Drink plenty of water. It will take your body a while to adapt from the freezing cold days we've been having to the warmer spring weather. Making sure you keep hydrated will help your body stay cool and flush out your digestive system.
